Welcome to Skin Side Out!
Well done for taking the step to change your skin, to feel more confident and learn how to have healthy skin for life
Over the next 12 weeks you and I will be on a journey of learning, empowerment and setting the foundations for healthy skin for life!
I want you to walk with your head held high, I want you to make eye contact with people you meet without that script running in your mind “I hope they can see that spot on my face” or whatever it is that stops you from being completely YOU!
Together, we are going to work on the factors that are super important to creating healthy skin from the inside out.
It’s not just about the moisturizer you use or how often you have a salon treatment. Good, Healthy, AMAZING skin is achieved when you combine all of the above with internal support that might seem like common sense, but what we ‘know’ and what we ‘do’ don’t match up!!!
I’m here to remind you of the things you ‘should’ do and to encourage you as you create healthy habits that lead to lifelong, beautiful healthy skin!
So what is healthy skin?
It’s so hard to know because EVERY picture you see in a Magazine or on TV has been retouched so much so that if you were to meet the real person in the street, you probably would recognize them.
Unlike what were shown, REAL skin is not flawless 100% of the time. Your skin has so many important jobs to do that it cannot possibly look like a flawless canvass free of pores and freckles and life!
You skin is a living, breathing organ.
It’s your filtration system, your waste disposal system that eliminates toxins.
Your skin is your temperature regulator keeping your body at the perfect operating temperature.
Skin is how you feel the warmth of the sun, the cool of the breeze.
Your skin is your sense of touch; it’s how you feel kisses and hugs from your loved ones.
It is your warning system; giving you Goosebumps when something is wrong; it lets you now if things just aren’t quite right.
Your skin lets you know when you are unwell because your skin reads a high temperature or colour change and it can also reflect certain illnesses within the body.
It is your first line of defense for your immune system.
It protects your inside from the outside world.
Your skin is how you connect with the world around you.
Your skin is what others see of you when they look at you… even if they know your mind and personality.
So it’s bound to show signs of life and function. The way it looks and feels on the outside can be due to something that is happening on the inside. This is why I am not promising you an overnight fix or a miracle potion. Together, we need to work both internally and externally to ensure we are going to get life long, REAL results!
This program is all about saying goodbye to old habits. It’s about forgetting all the things you thought you knew about skin care.
Up until now, most of the things we learn about our skin are from ads on TV, current affairs programs and advertorials in magazines.
All with a motive to convince us that their product is better. Sales people in department stores are no better. They are after making a sale regardless of the product in front of you. Their training is in SALES not in SKIN.
This program is about getting back to basics. Back to common sense and in using products and making lifestyle choices that are all about your skin and how this is directly related to your life and how you live it!
Its your Skin Side Out.
